5.22.14 JOINT PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS HAPPY HOUR - The Puerto Rican Bar Assocition of Florida co-sponsored a Joint Networking Event in Miami on May 22, 2014. The event was held in conjunction with the Cuban America Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association- Young Lawyer's Division, the Florida International Banker's Association, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Planning Association of Miami-Dade County. It was held at Fifty at the Viceroy Hotel from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. "This is always one of our most popular and well attended events," stated Nicholas Rossoletti, Vice President of the Puerto Rican Bar Association of Florida for the 3rd DCA. "This event provides members with an excellent opportunity to both network with each other as well as other professional groups in the area," Rossoletti continued. Members of the Association could be seen enjoying the complimentary cocktails and appetizers as they networked with other professionals in the region and took in the spectacular views from the venue fifty floors above downtown Brickell. 5.16.14 PUERTO RICAN BAR ASSOCIATION OF FLORIDA ELECTION LAW SEMINAR - The Puerto Rican Bar Association of Florida held a seminar in cooperation with the Puerto Rican Summit on election law in Orlando, Florida. The seminar was titled "How to Get Elected, Without Getting Indicted." The seminar, approved by The Florida Bar, provided valuable insight into the process of campaigning and the pitfalls that await the unwary candidate. Many election law issues were discussed and strategies for a successful and ethical campaign were presented. "Seminars like these are a great way to help those looking to run for office to maintain the upmost professionalism and ethical standards during the campaigning process, ensuring the overall integrity of the election system," Anthony Suarez told fellow members of the bar.
